*A little recap*

November 18, 2003 ~ 9:58 a.m.

Man this weekend was just a little crazy.

I came in on Friday and didn't do much. Chilled with the family. It was good to be home. They actually have cable internet: FAST CABLE INTERNET. Since the switchboard for my house isn't near anyone elses, we pretty much have dedicated Internet. You probably don't understand my happiness: going from 5/kbps to about 300/kbps is a HUGE increase. I never thought my house could be that technologically advanced!

On Saturday Charlie came over and we customized a computer for him at alienware.com. It's tight ass, $2200 computer with monitor, the only thing that's lacking is speakers. Since we have about $300 leftover, that's probably where those $300 are going. Hopefully he's going to come up to Norman this weekend and we'll set up and pay for his computer and he'll chill with us at the B^3 Lan Party this weekend. I'm stoked.

Lexi, Charlie and I went down to McKinney and Dallas and we ate at the Olive Garden (mmmmm Olive Garden!) and then we went and saw Matrix: Revolutions down at the IMAX. If you didn't take my advice and didn't go see Reloaded at the IMAX, GO SEE REVOLUTIONS AT THE IMAX! It was a blast.

It was crazy though. A guy came down and introduced the show on a microphone, but then when they started the projector it said "The State of Texas proudly presents:" You all know how I feel about Texas. I yelled "THIS IS NOT THE MOVIE I PAID FOR!!!!" The crowd roared with laughter. Yeah. Then the visual cut out and the sound went "reeeeeeeeeerrrr" like it does at a regular movie theater.

A couple minutes pass and the projectionist came down and said "It'll be just a few minutes before we get this back up and running." A few minutes pass. He came back down and said "Here's what we're going to do: we're going to give you all a free raincheck. After the movie, line up outside and we'll give you a free pass to any Cinemark movie in the US."

YES! A free movie! Rock on! Just for it being 5 minutes late!? I can understand that, though. I paid $9 to see this movie, I want my $9 worth. =) The IMAX probably will never lose a customer, now. They did a good job.

A few more minutes pass. No movie. The projectionist comes back down and says "If you'd like to refill your popcorn or Coke, now's the time to do it. Oh, and it's on the house." HELL YES.

After I watched the movie (Charlie still thought it kinda sucked, but not as bad as the original. My little sister Lexi thought it sucked because a lot of people die by the end, even Neo and Trinity. Blah), I thought it was a hell of a lot better, I almost thought it could've not ended better, but that's another entry and I'm pressed for time. Maybe next time, kids.

Today I have a few things to do. After Gateway, I'm going with Ryan to get my oil changed, his tires fixed, going to Wal-Mart to go get necessities, and to Hastings to go get the NEW LINKIN PARK LIVE IN TEXAS DVD/CD. Charlie was there!

Yes, you oughta go out and get it, too.
